Here's Miss Grace next to the dreaded "Step of Terror"...much like those who choose to scale Everest she constantly works on conquering this beast!!! Posted by Hello

It's Friday Again!

Hello all! Not much to report this week...

Grace has been moving a shaking all over the place. She's had a few falls on the tile (ouch!), but is doing well. We FINALLY ordered the carpeting to be used as an area rug, so needless to say we are all anxiously awaiting it's arrival. We selected a nice, thick berber and will be able to get a huge area rug plus two runners (for in front of the sliding glass door and the stair leading into the dining room) from it.

We did go downtown for lunch with Daddy one day this week and had a great time. Grace was perfectly behaved and even enjoyed some Italian bread at the restaurant! Yummmm...

She's got four teeth coming in on the top, so our nights are not as restful as they used to be, but her pootie helps her through the rough times!

That's all for now, I've got some pictures of the house that I'll be getting up here soon. It's really starting to look good, now if we could just do something about the horrific water!!!

Here's a kind of up-close and personal shot, but that's her now! She's everywhere!!!! :) Posted by Hello

Girl Gone Wild!

Well, I just thought I'd let you know that our quiet, reserved, lady-like Grace is out of her shell with no turning back. When we first started playgroup back in April there was a little girl named Lindsey who used to UNNERVE Grace when she screamed in delight. Lindsey would come over by Grace and scream at the top of her lungs to say "hello" and Grace would grimace and burst into tears.

This is no more.

Now Lindsey and Grace scream at each other and laugh hysterically! Lindsey will scream, then Grace returns the volley, then they crack up. It's really funny, but I'm a little scared for what the teenage years will bring!!!!

This is my favorite new hair-do for Miss Grace...the PigTails! I LOVE it! As a matter of fact, I thought that it stood out so much that when we went to our audition on Friday (July 23) she wore the PigTail-doo! Posted by Hello

Here's Grace goofing around the other weekend. She turned 8 months on this day and was full of energy and excitement! Posted by Hello

Grace Gazette (July 24, 2004)

Greetings all!

Our Date Nnight was fabulous! Brandon and I went downtown and had nice greasy burger dinner at Sandy's and then headed to the bat cruise. It was really cool to be on the river and see all of the bats take off. As a matter of fact our tour guide said that a lot of the new babies are just now starting to fly with the colony so there's lots of activity. Go bats, get those mosquitoes!

The report from the babysitter was good and Miss Grace woke up in a fabulous mood the next morning.  We're already looking forward to the next time we can "escape"!!

Friday's audition was a fun experience as well! We went to the studio directly after a long nap and feeding (smart Mommy!) so Grace was in a great mood. She was a total natural in front of the camera and smiled like the ham that she is! The photographer had a little puppy running around and she loved watching him too and even got a little kiss from him while she was in front of the camera. I'm hoping the photographer saw that as her being versatile and easy-going (hopefully they'll never catch her at nap or bed-time!) , so we'll see if she gets a call. In any case, I'm totally proud of her and in our minds she'll always be a supermodel!

That's it for now, I'm still firguring out how this whole thing works, so bear with me! Someday the pictures will publish where I intended them to go, but for now I'm just thankful that I figured out how to get them on here!

I'm Blogging!

Hello all!

Just a few short hours ago I had no idea what a "blog" was,  and I'm not entirely sure that I get it yet, but I know that it will allow me to keep in touch with our friends and family since we are so far away!

So, here we begin our blogging journey.

Let's see...tonight, Miss Grace will be staying with her first sitter (other than family) and tomorrow we are going to a modeling audition (can you say "college tuition"?). So yet, another wild and wooly week has escaped from us.

OK, I think that's it for now....hopefully I can figure out how to edit and add more stuff, but here goes!
